| We as humans take forgiveness to a degree, but not as high a degree that God does. As humans we are built in with a desire to have someone who has committed a sin against us come to us and "make it right". In this WE, (the person who was wronged) have a temporary satisfaction or fulfillment in giving this forgiveness to the person who has hurt us. Meaning that it fills our fleshly desires to have someone admit they were wrong to us. Also in the meaning "temporary", once this has taken place we tend to move on with our lives and not think about the act of forgiveness we gave any longer. Yes, we still deal with the hurt and conquences of what has been done to us, however the act of forgiveness has been fulfilled. As believers we must forgive as he has forgiven us; not forgiving leads to bitterness which inprisons the person who is bitter. As you all know, God is different then we are in many ways, BUT, God is BIG on forgiveness. Unlike us God's perspective on this issue is that God looks at it eternally. As I said we see forgiveness as a "temporary" issue but Gods is eternal, so he sees it eternally, never ending. What is sin? Sin is anything we think say or do that displeases God. When someone commits a sin they in return get conquences. The Bible says, "your sin will find you out." Whether it is soon after it has been committed or later on in life. The purpose in life is to glorify God. We do this by being in right standing with God. For us to be in right standing with God we must be pure. Meaning we must be without sin. You might say,"well im a sinner." or "that is impossible, I can't just stop sinning." To be pure is to be without sin. As humans we also tend to look at our lives as clumped up and weighed down with sin, mainly the sins of our past that we wresteled in for a long time or are currently dealing with now. God sees this differently, let me hopefully bring this to light for you. Before God saved you, the Bible says " you were dead in the tresspasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience- among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath like the rest of mankind." (Eph. 2:1-3) This means you were stuck in sin and were destined for Hell. The Bible says that "the wages of sin is death" (Rom. 6:23). Because Jesus died and rose again God used Him to be the payment for our sins and we have through him forgiveness. Ok, now if we have Jesus, then we are forgiven and the sins of our past and future have been taken care of. God doesn't hold them against us, if he did then even though we have repented from our sins, if we sinned again then we'd go to Hell, thus making Him a liar. If this was the case the Word would not be true and have no power at all. However, it is true, it does have power, and we can believe it in faith to be this way for eternity! (Heb.10:17) says "I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more". God knows what you've done in your past but when he says "remember" I believe he means he dosn't count them against us any longer, emotionally or in any other way. We must also think of it this way, he says "Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." (Rom. 8:1) We tend to let ourselves become condemned, we get weighed down and believe that we have to walk with our past; but that is a lie. We only walk with the conquences of our sins we have committed in the past. Sometimes they are long lasting, others are only a short time. When we know that we have sinned it is best to go to God and confess our sin to him. He says in 1 Jn. 1:9 "If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." When he cleanses us we are made pure, and he "remembers our sins and lawless deeds no more" (Heb.10:17). WE ARE PERFECT! Not just in Gods eyes but in our fleshly bodies. (Heb. 10:22). Thats one reason why the verse says "there is now NO CONDEMNATION for those who are in Christ Jesus" (Rom. 8:1). So what is the problem? The problem is that we need a mind that is set on Christ! We need to "transform our minds". The way you come to this place is that you search the scriptures and in obedience (faith) you embrace what it says. Live for eternity not Earth!!!
Col.3:2- "Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth". Grace and peace be with your minds in christ Jesus!

| Ok, what is a "witness"? What is a "WITNESS"? A witness is someone who testifies about someone or something. So if we are to be a "witness", then why are we so stinking afraid of what people are going to think if we go share with them who we think Jesus is? Jesus is life!!! This America dosn't know what life is, they know what life replacements are, but not life. Life is Jesus and living with an eternal purpose and mind set, they were created to live in perfect harmony with the creator of the universe. He is the one who in complete obedience even to die made the way for this to happen! He's not some man who was good and then died for our sins, hes much BIGGER than that! So I think that a "witness" is someone who is knowledgeable of the truth but either when given the oppurtunity or sees someone they can witness to rejects speaking the truth to the individual, which could be a possible destined time when God is going to save that person through your obedience. So if that is a so called "witness" then what is a "WITNESS"? A "WITNESS" is as Paul puts it a "fool for Christ." In the Bible a fool isn't what a fool is today. They were someone who is considered low in society or outcast in the community. Someone who is not wise. This wasn't the case for Paul but the end result of someone who was a fool in the Bible could be seen as ending up with no possessions. So for the sake of the gospel Paul became as a fool for Christ meaning he left wealth and possessions and all that was looked at as being on the end crowd to preach life to people! a "WITNESS" isn't going to back out when he has the oppurtunity to share the gospel with someone that is going down the path to Hell. They are one who leaves all pride to see a possible sinner become transformed into a saint. They are as Paul says" not ashamed of the gospel for it is the power of God for salvation". so how do you move from being a "witness" to a "WITNESS"? It's easy, you become obedient, selfless, live with an eternal mindset not an earthly one, and you step out in boldness. You can pray for boldness but when you take a step of faith that boldness becomes easier. They work together. When you go "WITNESS" the power of God WILL speak through you, thats 1 reason you need to memorize because when you memorize it allows Gods speach to flow from your heart out of your mouth. So when you feel the prompting to be a "WITNESS" you need to obey because God may be giving you the priveledge to lead a person stuck in eternal damnation to CHRIST who is OUR LIFE!!! So who are you? I know that I need prayer, yal'l please pray for me. I let someone go tonight at the gas station. This isn't to lift me up but to say I need help too. I hope this spoke to you. God bless. - Chris Foushee | | |
| hey everyone! i havent posted in a while as you can tell. im here at "The Camp" in michigan. God is sooo good. we just finished revival week and man was it awesome. we had 2 days of straight prayer and music worship. i didnt think i was going to be able to pray for 8 hours in 1 day, but Gods grace was and is sufficient. we fifnishe with 15-17 hours of being in session praying and wshiping God. He did some amazing things in my life. he has been changing me into the man he wants me to be since the first week i came back to camp this summer. during revival week he showed me some things that i have wanted to see and needed to see to become a mighty man of God. ready here it is....i'm a horrible person. that was so freeing to me. it says in Romans 3:11 that "none are righteous" i knew that but at the same time i needed to be broken, boy did he do a nice job of showing me who chris foushee really is. i was then able to confess and humble myself to him and he has changed me. i was one prideful saint. his love is so powerful to show us who we are. thanks be to his grace that he gives mercy! i am running to the cross constantly, he is so faithful! i am so glad that i can say that chris foushee alone is a horrible person, BUT with God and his neverending supply of grace i have overcome and will continue and he will help me!!! For those of you who know you need to pray and kinda desire to pray, let me tell you, run the race with Jesus! dont stop dont faint ask for Gods power he will give it to you God wants to bless you through praying for others keep up dont stop. let me know how i can pray for you too. ps praying at all times is to pray for every cirmcumstance you come to. eph. 6:18 -chris | | |
